Amanda, HB and Ellen

Nathan thought it would be fun for me to go spend some sister time with Mandy before the baby comes.  While it's still just the two of us and I don't have a baby to worry about.  It was so much fun!  Mandy picked me up Friday night at the airport and about died when she saw how big my belly has gotten.  At 30 weeks it's starting to get big!  She of course had to touch the bump and talk to the baby every day, at least once!  Haha  It is so much fun to have her so excited, I feel so loved by her!  Well the weather wasn't great so we never made it to the beach....bummer for sure!  However I did get to meet some of her friends and roommates which was interesting to see her life now.  We started Saturday off with a little exploring.  We went on a quest to find the best donut place (other than Scotty's).  We took pictures to document each place.  We made it to two before we needed some real food.  Once we got to the third, it was closed.  Quest to be continued....

We laughed so much together, as we always do!  I even almost made Mandy spit her milk out in one of the donut places...hehe It's a good thing laughter burns calories sheesh!  She said I can't come visit her for a long time because I made her eat too much food.....hey the baby's hungry I said!  It was so much fun to spend time together again, sharing a room again and staying up late talking and laughing (2:30am) together.  I'm not sure how we ever got any sleep when we were younger, and now I can see why mom and dad kept telling us to "be quiet and go to sleep" haha.  I love you so much Mandy!!  Thanks for such a fun weekend!

Oh oh! And then..... on Monday, mom came down and she went with me to the Ellen Degeneres Show!!!! Woot woot!!  My sweet Nathan scored two VIP tickets to her show.  I love her I just think she is hilarious!! When I was down because we weren't getting pregnant, I would watch Ellen and she always made me laugh.  If nothing else I knew I had 1 hour every day that I would get some laughter out.  Anyways mom came to go with me and so we drove down to Burbank, CA.  We had perfect seats!!  It was so cute to see mom dance!  And I'm sure I was entertaing trying to dance with my baby bump.  Mom and I laughed and had a blast!  We danced and cheered during the show.  Although you can't get the episode online, as far as I'm aware anyways....I TIVO'd the episode and mom and I had TONS up air time, at least 3 good close-ups of me and mom!!  During a commercial break (of course they have you dance during the commercials "laugh. dance. ellen."  Anyhow Ellen came down the stairs (I was sitting on the end seat by the stairs) and as she danced down the stairs, she saw my baby bump.....she stopped in front of me, looking at me, and pointed to my belly and smiled.  It was my little moment with Ellen.  Everyone around us was going crazy "oh my gosh Ellen pointed to your baby!  Now you can tell your baby that Ellen said hi!"  haha I was rather excited.  I've seen better, more entertaining guests than who we had but non the less, it was a blast!  What an experiment!!  Thanks for going with me mom!  It was so fun to have you there and a memory we will always have!

Our Sweet Baby

Today I got to see my little one.  My friend was working for the 1st time since I've been pregnant and she did a few 4D's for me.  The blurry parts are the placenta, it's right over his face so it was a little bit difficult to get a view of his whole little face.  I thought it would be creepy but I felt so much love for him as I watched him smile, suck, and even open and close his eyes as he looked around.  I was surprised how much I loved being able to see him so well and instead of being creepy it was just so sweet.  He is so precious!  I am officially 30 weeks and 1 day today and I have graduated to seeing the doctor every 2 weeks instead of 4.  I am super excited to get to see him more regularly.  I predict he will have his daddy's nose after seeing these pictures.  I also noticed something else of daddy's that it looks like our little one has inherited.  When Nathan is concentrating he does the cutest thing with his lips.  I can't quite figure out how to do it myself, but it's almost like he is puckering his lips out.  (like maybe he is biting the inside of his cheeks, I don't know) Anyway, as my friend was doing the ultrasound she said it looks like he is sticking his lips out.....and thought it was cute.  I of course knowing his daddy started to laugh because he was doing exactly what his dad does!  He must have been very focused on making sure he was showing us his good side for the camera.  How sweet!!
