4 months!

Wow I can hardly believe my tiny baby born at just 5lbs. 12oz. is four months old already!  He is such a doll, really he is so cute he could be a doll!  Nathan and I just adore him!  His huge smiles and random giggles make us soo happy!  It was all worth it, more than worth it to get our little baby into our arms!  Even a few days ago, we still are in awe that he made it to us...we still can't believe it sometimes that he is really ours, he is really in our arms to stay.  He brings me tears of joy and he can always cheer me up with his huge smiles and little giggles.  His eyes light up when he sees me and his smile just melts my heart.
I truly can't believe how much I love him, and Nathan and I are constantly fighting over who gets to hold him even still.  He is growing so big.
He had his 4 month check today at the doctors and he is doing great!  He is weighing in at 13lbs. 2oz. and 24in. long.  The doctor asked how he is sleeping, and when we said, well he was doing 6-10 hour stretches a night, but lately he has started waking up again.  She told us that's usually a sign to start on solids because he is hungry, and doing the solids will help him sleep through the night again.  What a big boy he is!!  We went and bought him little spoons and bowls and can't wait for all the cute messy eating pictures we will surely be getting soon.
He is truly our little angel sent from above and we love him so much!  Happy four months baby!

You are entering the splash zone

Colton took his first dip in the pool at only a few weeks old and LOVED it!  His first bath was the same, not a peep or cry, not even if he gets water in his face or eyes.  The boy is going to be a little fishy!  When it comes time for him to take a bath, you'd better be prepared, you are entering the splash zone and you WILL get wet!!  He is loving kicking around and trying to get the whole kitchen as wet as possible, including mommy and daddy!  We have taken him swimming so many times in the first 4 months of his life I can't even count, Grandma and Grandpa Pace's, friends, and his babysitters house.  Our sweet babysitter Lauren lets me swim for exercise at her house and she watches Colton, the last time, Nathan got off early so we decided we would all go swimming.  We took some cute pictures, and while Nathan and I got in some exercise Lauren played with Colton in the water.  With as out of shape as I have gotten by not being very active the past 3 years, I still beat Nathan in a race in the pool!  (ok so it was pretty darn close, but with Lauren watching, I clearly touched first!)  Colton is such a good sport when he gets splashed and he seems to love the water more and more every day, be it in the shower, his tub or the pool.

Aunt Mandy

We had a visit from Aunt Mandy a few weeks ago!  It was so much fun to have her here for a few days.  We went shopping at Sephora and Target...a few favorites of course!  Funny thing, at Sephora, a lady came up to help us, and she recognized me from doing my make-over for the baby shower...she then spent litterally about 5 minutes talking to Colton and telling him how handsome he is!  Nathan watched the baby and let us girls go see Eat, Pray, Love...sadly we only made it through the Eating and Praying part, we were so bored that we left early and went shopping to Home Goods instead! We had a tiny photo shoot the last day.  Colton loved playing with and getting loves from his Aunt Mandy!  We miss her already!  Next time we will try to make it to the beach!

Hey Hey Colton's a MONKEY!

Our little monkey!  We are having so much fun playing with our baby these days!  He is talking a lot, mostly he likes to interupt his daddy every time he tries to have a conversation.  It's pretty entertaining, Nathan has tested it...never fails the second he starts talking, Colton starts talking, if Nathan stops, Colton stops.  During the day Colton is having fun playing with mommy!  We even have our own little song...it goes like this...(to the tune of the monkeys song)
hey hey you're a monkey
mommy lets you monkey around
you get it from your daddy
cause he's a silly man
He loves to dance to it.  He especially loves being read to.  His favorite book is barnyard dance and his favorite toys are his Nicky the ducky (the name came stiched on so theres no changing it) and his "winkel" yup that's what it's called! He is smiling, cooing, and laughing all the time (well more like little chuckles).  We are loving every minute of being parents!  It's more than I ever dreamed!  Here's a little Colton laughter to bring you some laughter!
